Frequently asked questions

Yes. You can start a job file with a worker, contractor, or client you already know. DirectCrew helps document the project and create a verified completion record.

By default, no. Workers control their own visibility — most start in 'private' mode where they're only visible to you. A worker only becomes discoverable to other contractors if they explicitly opt in to that. Even then, their work history shows attribution: 'brought on by [you]' stays on their profile permanently, so other contractors see who built the relationship. We designed this on purpose — vouching attribution is meant to make poaching less attractive, not more.

Workers can get more direct opportunities, build a profile that follows them, collect vouches, show project photos, and earn reputation for the work they actually complete.

Contractors can find workers, save reliable crews, document project records, and build a labor bench with better visibility into worker history and reliability.
